Nambucca RSL is proud to support community groups who support our community!
On Friday 25 September we held a presentation night to hand over just over $54,000 in cash donations as part of our Club Grants Scheme
There were four recipient organisations. They each plan to use the funds to support their services and/or build infrastructure within the community.
- Little Wings who received $3 185 – the grant going towards assistance in flying children from the mid-north coast for specialist medical treatment at the Children’s hospitals in Sydney.
- WESTPAC Life Saver Rescue – Northern NSW Helicopter Rescue Service $11 000 – the grant will secure support to purchase 16 mobile terminals to help with fundraising.
- Nambucca Valley Council – $15 000 – the grant will go towards new shelter sheds and seating adjoining the recently improved children’s playground at Gordon Park.
- The Lions Club of Nambucca Heads – $25 000 – the grant will go towards building a whale viewing platform, concrete pathways and associated words at Lions Park along with the installation of Christmas decorations in Bowra Street.
A special thanks to the Member for Oxley and Minister for Water, Property and Housing, Melinda Pavey for attending the presentation night and supporting the Club.
Club Grants give back more than $100 million in cash to worthy causes. This financial year, Nambucca RSL has given back $76 000 in donations.
